In response to recent business growth, customer management and technology solutions provider MGt plc has launched a summer recruitment drive with Job Centre Plus.

Already a big contributor to the local economy, MGt is looking to recruit new talent to fill over 250 new jobs in Fife .

This will be a positive development for the region as MGt is committed to investing in staff. The permanent and temporary positions will provide strong career development programmes and opportunities for advancement.

The vacancies involve providing customer support services to leading broadcast companies in a dynamic and fast moving industry . Positions are available in its customer contact centres in Methil and Kirkcaldy.

Candidates will need good communication skills and should enjoy helping customers. For those with no experience, full training can be provided. The hours are flexible and local Jobcentres have details of the different work patterns available - there should be something to suit everyone.

Previous applicants can re-apply and people receiving benefits are encouraged to find out more. Jobcentre Plus and MGt have agreed to have special arrangements for eligible jobseekers, involving a two week work trial. This allows both MGt and the applicant to assess suitability. Personal Advisers at local Jobcentres can also calculate how much financially better off people can be by returning to work.

Moira Brown, HR Director at MGt said, "This is a great opportunity for local people to join a fast moving, dynamic company and to get a job with good career prospects."

Most of the shift patterns tie-in with local transport, but Jobcentre Plus and MGt are exploring how best to support people travelling from outlying areas, for example, through the 'Wheels for Work' scheme.

Margaret Sangster, Operations Manager for Jobcentre Plus said: "It's an excellent way for our customers to gain skills and find work in a modern working environment. It's also a great chance to show the services that Jobcentre Plus and their partners offer to employers expanding their business".
