Gordon Brown today visited MGt, the largest private-sector employer in the Chancellor's constituency and a major contributor to the Scottish economy.

MGt, headquartered in Kirkcaldy, is the UK 's leading support services provider to the digital TV and broadcast industry. The business has experienced consistent strong growth since its foundation in 1998. T oday, it employees 1,200 staff across six locations within the UK and has an annual turnover of more than £16million.

Gordon Brown's visit r ecognises MGt as a key player in supporting the growth of the UK 's digital TV industry, which is leading Europe . He was particularly interested in the company's k nowledge and experience of delivering technologically advanced and operationally complex projects on a national scale.

Broadcasters such as Sky, Freeview, Channel 4, Top Up TV, Discovery Networks, Sony Entertainment, Sentanta Sports and Zee rely on MGt's expertise to look after their subscription management and viewer relationships. The company manages the entire customer lifecycle on behalf of clients from acquisition and fulfilment to connection and payment .
